Sierra Hayes, Class of 2010 Biology major, has recently joined City Year close to her home town in southeast Washington, DC, serving as a corps member on the Case Foundation Team at Simon Elementary School. While at Sewanee, she worked with Professor Deborah McGrath and other students examining the likenesses and differences between bottled and municipal water in the Sewanee community. Sierra presented these findings in her capstone presentation entitled "Water Use in Sewanee: A comparison of municipal water vs. bottled water." Follow Sierra's City Year endeavors here.
